Typical aluminum romex house built in the late 60's early 70's. Homeowner wants a general inspection by the ESA (our authority in Ontario Canada). I tell him he can't have aluminum conductors attached to regular receptacles. I attach copper pigtails to the aluminum and cap with with an al-cu rated wire nut and reattach to the receptacle. Inspector cites me for not removing the aluminum bonding conductor from each receptacle.
I explain to him that it is a non current carrying conductor, that will not get loose over time, that will not disintegrate etc. To no avail. Any thoughts.
Picture unrelated, just a little bait
