Yes, especially in a damp or wet location.

The generic answer is no. In some treated hardware the coating itself may be detrimental to the aluminum, like cadmium plated bolts.

1. Run a 2+ year test adjacent to a cooling tower in a coastal chemical plant of a galvanized steel and aluminum conduit coupled with a galv. coupling.
2. Look at the nobility table.
3. Have thousands of feet of al conduit installed with steel straps.
