aluminum wiring in single-family home

What are the current methods available to repair aluminum wire in a single family residence, I can try and rewire as many devices as possible with copper but some will not be able to be redone due to the location in the house, so I am looking for what ways there are to either crimp the wire with a copper pigtail or use what I have seen as a alumiconn connector which to me still has a problem since that uses screws to tighten down on the wires

The problem is not the screws but rather what the material is made of. Alumicons take up too much space IMO. There are the purple wirenuts but the site that Al links too only will suggest the most expensive and incredibly inconvenient method. You either rent a tool or spend a few thousand dollars to buy it.

With the Alumicon or any mechanical connection for aluminum if you move the wire after you torque you just untorqued it. That is what I was told.

I simply will not take on any jobs that involve working with aluminum wire, unless to remove it and rewire with copper. Short of that, I would simply refer the customer to one of my local competitors.
