Am I required to re-certify a UL508A Panel if the standard changes after the panel certified?

Hello,

I am trying to understand a best practice, or legal mandate, if there is one. If I have a UL508A certified ICP in service and then a new revision of UL508A comes out that puts my panel out of compliance, am I required to address the new standard and re-certify my panel? Or am I grandfathered into my panel being compliant because it was certified to the latest standard at the time of building?

Thanks,

The UL listing is for what left the manufacturer. What happens after that is not relevant.

What change to UL508a would invalidate an existing design anyway? I have not run across such a situation.

Thanks! I do not have an example, but since UL508A does get revised I was wondering if I needed to audit panels that are in use every time a new revision gets released. It sounds like the answer is no, I do not need to review a panel after it is certified.
