Article 310.15 (3) says:Were conductors are installed in cable trays, the provisions of 392.80 shall apply.
My question is: if i can't meet provisions of 392.8 because i have more cables than that table 392.22 (A) Column 2 allow me, does i have to apply table 310.15 (B)(3)(a)? I think the answer is ''YES'' because 310.15 (3) says to reduce ampacity as show in Table 310.15(b)(3)(a) ...or multiconductor cables are installed without maintaining spacing.... and are not installed in raceway.
Does i have to apply table 310.15(b)(3)(a) for 3 conductors MC Cable used for 3 phases 480V motors with PVC Jacket in a cable tray if i can't meet Maximum Allowable fill area for multiconductor cables in table 392.22 (A) Column 2?
