What is the rating for 5/C 4 AWG ST cable? We have this Genrad tester at work that has this supply cable. It's fed 208, but all we test is low voltage CATI products. For the life of me, I can NOT figure out why the Genrad is fed with that.

Look at 400.5 and 400.5(A).
Being 5C you will need to make the determination on the neutral being considered current-carrying, but the best bet is 60 amps.

Lets not forget the NEC rating has absolutely nothing to do with the size of a factory installed cord.

Okay, see that now, thanks guys. I saw this cable this morning, thought it was PVC at first. The Genrad is basically a bed of nails tester. We test motor controls, power supplies and defibillators on this machine. I have no idea why a bed of nails would be fed with this kind of supply.
