Do you all use 2,3, or 4 anchors per 4x4 box say on brick/cement?

Two will keep the box from turning on concrete or block. You can get away with one if you have a raceway entering that's properly supported.

I don't use any. I hire Chuck Norris to stare the boxes into place.

But on the off chance Chuck isn't available, I use 2.

Generally I would use two 1/4" acorn style anchors but as mentioned one would do. We usually don't use plastic anchors.

I use 2 - 30% of time. Then 3 or 4 other 70% . Depends on anchors o day im using, if its friday afternoon or the ho is staring at me. Id say 3 mostly

I chew a lot of gum so I use that.

If I'm out of gum I use 2 tapcons. More if it seems loose, sometimes I make my own holes in the box to get away from a mortar joint.

I use liquid nails.

You joke but I know of one electrician that tried to set a 1900 box in a brick cutout with LN. There are about 20 different LN products with all different setting times. 1" thick liquid nails doesnt set fast especially if you leave a lot of brick dust in the hole. :happyno:

Cletis, I use two, tho if you use a powder actuated gun to shoot fasteners, you'd better make sure the box is level and secure before popping that second one. Even then, the nail can catch the edge of the hole in the box and make the box cocked.
