And you thought the Sprinter was a dorkmoblie...

I believe that thing will rank very close to the AMC Pacer and Gremlin on the all time ugly vehicle list.
And, in spite of the 'large' shape, they don't have all that much useable interior volume, just like the cars above.

The Pacer reference reminds me of a car-magazine article I read many moons ago, about customixing a Pacer. They used EMT bent around the tires as fender edges for the wheel openings.

That is actually something that would work well for me.

I want a fuel efficient vehicle and i don't carry a lot of steel tube.

Put a ladder on top and a 4" PVC conduit carrier.

Ugly to me is the turning radius on a ford or Chevy full size van.

Read the story. That "Ford" is imported from Turkey of all places. I guess China couldn't build them without lead paint.

Think I'll pass on this one.

That thing looks remarkably like a car from the past:

I thought the Sprinter trucks were cool. Compared to Ford E250 a Sprinter has better mileage, turning radius, and more room. That's everything I want. I have truck envy.:D

Given it's a European vehicle, where would you like it imported from?

If it's built like a full size Ford Transit, then it's a very respectable vehicle, no matter where it comes from.

Ex-owner of a few Ford Transits, the first of which was old enough to be built in the days when a heater was an optional extra, and mine didn't have that option...

I just spent another three hundred dollars repairing my Escape. New transmission this summer. Three thousand dollars. Have spent more in the last six months on repairs on this truck than I ever did on all the Japanese vehicles I have ever owned. Brother in Law is an engineer for Ford. Will break his heart next summer when I show up driving something from across the pond. I'll have to promise him I'll go outside and kick it on Dec. 7th!

The Escape was sold in Europe as the Ford Maverick. It was jointly developed with Mazda, in which Ford owns a controlling interest, and was released simultaneously with the Mazda Tribute. In the United States.

So much for Nippon cars being better.

I am a GM man myself never been let down by one of them I have owned and I have owned many, all have had well over 200,000 mile before I retired them and parts tend to be much cheapper and since I am able to do 80% of the maintenance myself I will remain a GM man.
