Android to Android syncing

Somehow I managed to sync my contact list to my wife's phone. Both Android based but I don't know how I did it. She is not happy to be sorting through several hundred contacts she wants nothing to do with. I don't know if it was BT or not. any hints?

It almost had to be bluetooth, unless you had a cable between the two. I don't know how to "undo" that. She may have to manually write down the contacts that are here. Then delete the list on the phone, then enter hers back in.

You can back up your contacts with Gmail. Don't guess that would help if you dump another load on top of them though!

What brand phone? What app are you using for contacts? Are you sharing a email address? Don't do that.

If you go to Contacts.Google.com you should be able to restore to a previous contact list from there.

She got my data when I set up to be able to find her phone via the Google app. We (she) found the setting on her pone to turn off syncing and erasing the history. She is happy. All is good. Email connection was the hint. Thank you.
