Annex C question

In my class we were talking about the "conduit and tubing fill conductors and fixture wires of the same size" we were going over a few calculations then we came across "Liquidtight Fexible Metal Conduit (LFMC) but on Annex C Table it says "LMFL" I was wondering if that was a type-o?
Also my teacher didn't know the definition of "compact stranding" I found the definition also in Annex C, I was just suggesting if this could be put in the Definition Article?

Re: Annex C question

This is what the 2005 Handbook and 2005 NEC on CD says:

Table C.7 Maximum Number of Conductors or Fixture Wires in Liquidtight Flexible Metal
Conduit (LFMC) (Based on Table 1, Chapter 9)
Table C.7(A) Maximum Number of Compact Conductors in Liquidtight Flexible Metal
Conduit (LFMC) (Based on Table 1, Chapter 9)

Re: Annex C question

I don't have my 2005 NEC with me, but it does sound like a typo.
As for compact stranding, in my 1999 handbook, there is a note after Table C5(A) with the definition that explains it.

"Compact stranding is the result of a manufacturing process where the stranded conductor is compressed to the extent that the interstices (voids between the strand wires) are virtually eliminated."

Re: Annex C question
