I needed 3 afci's for a job, single pole, two 15a and one 20amp. So I get them at the supply house and I'm leaving the counter and look at my slip and see that the 20a was $32 and the 15's were $50 each. The counter guy doesn't know why, he said they changed something. I forgot to say these are GE. What was different was the 15amp were AF2, meaning you could put two of them in the panel and use them with one neutral on a mwbc(of course they mentioned you need a handle tie, more money). Well I don't care and don't want AF2, I want the $32 breaker that I had figured on. The supply house, Electrical Wholesalers, tells me they will only be carrying the AF2 in the 15amp, the 20 amp will still be just AF, and he didn't know if they were discontinuing the other ones or not. I did find the 15a AF in HD so I bought them there and returned the other two. Crazy:rant:
