What can we learn from these violations?

At least he used hard shell wire-nuts, rated 150 maybe.
Heat dissapation should be pretty good.
Do those wires extend 3 inches outside the JB?

What can we learn from these violations.

I don't worry as much about all the things that you can see ( out in the open like this ) as all the things you can't see.

I looked at a house that had been remodeled an sold not long ago. There were some really blatant violations on an inspection report but I got the feeling looking at what I could see of the rest of the wiring that it was only the tip of the iceberg. I believe the whole house was rigged and that only about 10% of the hazards were caught on the inspection report.
 
Ooh ooh ooh, I have a couple from Saturday:

Not the worst thing in the world, the grounds were at least tied together, or rather there was a wirenut on them. They weren't physically twisted together.

thought i was the only one who found the old work box designed for heat dissapation!
