Went out to inspect a reconnect at yet another panel fire today. I'm going to have to dig out 480sparky's instructions on how to post pictures for this one. I have seen some pretty junked up houses during my tenure but I would put this one up against anybody's worst. No kidding guys, when I arrived, there was a ton of "stuff" packed all over the porches so bad I couldn't even get within 10 feet of the meter! Inside was worse. The owner was being put up by the local Red Cross at a local motel so no one was home but I had right of entry granted, wish I didn't have! There was a very narrow path leading to each room of a 750 sq. ft. house. It took me 10 minutes just to locate the panel, which was in a bedroom completely inacessable. Couldn't see any receps for all the junk piled at least head high in every room of the house. Needless to say I left my card at the front door with a note to call the office. This is definitely a hardship case with an obviously eccentric owner but there was no way to even inspect and definitely no way I could sign off on this one even if I could inspect. Any thoughts guys?
