Possibly, but the fitting would need to meet Section 501.15(C). If it did, it would be an
explosionproof seal anyway. If it didn't, you would be running afoul of Section 110.3(B). This is one of the reasons I don't recommend using an
explosionproof seal fitting if you don't intend to have an
explosionproof seal.
Oops, sorry, I just looked at the
Crouse Hinds Chico Speed Seal site to check its
listing. It says it's, "UL and cUL Listed for use with 1/2" to 2" Eaton's Crouse-Hinds series sealing fittings only." It would be a Section 110.3(B) violation in the first place.
