I went through several threads, but still have some confusion on the wording.

I'm looking at the 2017 NEC, section 406.12(5).

Tamper proof receptacles are required in "Business offices, corridors, waiting rooms and the like in clinics, medical and dental offices and outpatient facilities."

Personally, I think the way the commas were used was careless.

Does this mean TR receptacles are required in business offices and corridors in ANY type of occupancy? Or business offices and corridors SPECIFICALLY in clinics, medical and dental offices and outpatient facilities?

It sure sounds like the latter to me.

(Business offices, corridors, waiting rooms and the like) in (clinics, medical and dental offices and outpatient facilities.)

Here's another way to say what I believe to be your interpretation:
* Business offices,
* Corridors,
* Waiting rooms, and
* Spaces similar to these three,
BUT only in
* Clinics,
* Medical offices,
* Dental offices, and
* Outpatient facilities.

The only other interpretation of:

"Business offices, corridors, waiting rooms and the like in clinics, medical and dental offices and outpatient facilities."

would be:

"Business offices, corridors, waiting rooms," and the same rooms in "clinics, medical and dental offices and outpatient facilities."

That would be silly.
