Re: ansel system

An Aunsul system is the "generic " name for a fire suppression system designed for use in food service exhaust hoods. You may best recognize the heads that you may see poking down over the grille at your local fast food restaurant's kitchen. The systems usually have a mechanical trigger that employs eutectic, [melting at a specific temperature] links, as well as manual "pull-stations". The "control" cabinets usually have relays or dry contacts for interfacing with various shutdowns, and alarm triggers. Ansul is the name of the fire suppression company that popularized this system.

Re: ansel system

Good link iwire. I see that ansul also provides CO2 suppression and industrial suppression systems in addition to the kitchen hood ones flightline and I were aware of.

One of ansul's PDF's for the CO2 system is huge. If you have a dial up connection, don't even try. 8MB for 8 pages.
