Just got down updating QB Enterprise. Most likely not the cause but still:

This makes the 2nd time having an online auto backup via Intuit saved my rear.

Ouch! Are the fans actually bad or did you have a hardware failure?

Don't know. On the way to repair shop now.

Typical service call. It came right up for the service tech and they couldn’t replicate the problem.

If you haven't already, re-seat all the connectors on the motherboard. However two "fan failures" suggests that either they're not seeing the fan tach's or that the chip which reads all the sensors is going south (which usually means a new motherboard). There are some free desktop programs that will monitor the sensors; you might see one (or a lot) that are giving bogus data.

That was their thoughts as well. I don’t know if they did a re-seat or not but we discussed it over the phone.
