Any thoughts?

I have a question for yall? I been taking apprentiship classes on my own now for three years and im considering going union with the IBEW but im not sure. So whats all yall's thoughts on union im just wandering cause when i talked with someone today from my local Ibew they said i would end up starting all over with my class work and im just not sure what i should do. So any thoughts?
