We have been asked to bid on a job to remove the existing street light heads and replace with LED heads. It is a simple operation. Essentially, go up in bucket truck, loosen four clamp bolts, slide old head off, unplug connector, plug in new light, slide over pole, tighten bolts, snap on cover, and place hand over light sensor to test. Then lower bucket and off the the next pole. This would be a two-man crew. I am trying to figure how many fixtures per hour. The number that is being tossed around, is to me extremely optimistic (will share after seeing replies). I think their number is ignoring things like unboxing new fixture, placing old fixture in the box and loading/unloading truck. Having to stop at traffic lights, vehicles being in the way, etc.
It would be great to hear from someone who has actually done this and know from experience, or has done something similar.
Thanks
