Anyone here ever use e-conolight?
http://www.e-conolight.com/Product/EFamily.asp

I am bidding a very small job that a car dealership wants some flood lights to improve things in the parking lot.

The short of it: 4 - 400W MH floods...

My local CED just gave me a price of $860 (mounting hardware, but no bulb) for them, and econolight is coming in at about $460 (bulb but no mounting hardware)...

Mounting hardware $10 ea at e-conolight, Bulb at CED: $29 ea

Plus CED wants 4 weeks lead time (might as well be doing this in the worst possible weather...) and e-conolight has them in stock...

So, again, has anyone used them? Do they suck, or otherwise...

I use them all the time, the wallpacks, floods, and exits are identical to the ones from your supplier, they had great shipping(free over $100). how you gonna beat remote capable combos for $35? delivered. I highly reccomend

Hi Greg,

I use e-conolight for the Luma CFL lamps and the indoor emergency light fixtures (dual-head). I do the lighting maintenance for condos.

I have used them for approximately 1 year and found the to be reliable (7 to 10 days from order placement) and reasonably priced.

Regards,
Bernard

Gregg,
I've used thier products. No problems. Just worked on conduits in a bakery today. One run of brand name bread went by,one run of store brand went by,one brand by another name went by.Chances are manufacturer"X" makes lights for different brands. Do what meets your comfort level and price range.

FYI, e-conolight is the bargain division of Ruud Lighting. The e-conolight stuff is all imported unlike the Ruud stuff, but it's still decent stuff as near as I can tell. I've ordered exit lights and outdoor floodlights from them and they seem just fine. No problems at all with their stuff.

I have had nothing but good luck with them. I did get a 150w mv light from them with a bad transformer, called them up and told them what I had. They shipped me one out next day no cost and told me to throw the other one away they did not want it back. I buy the exit/emerg. light combo's from them for around $30.00 my local CED wants $95.00 for the same thing:mad: I place an order on line and I have the stuff in 4 to 5 days.

Under the circumstances, I'd probably order from econostuff, then print the invoice, show it to my salesbeing at CED, and say "Dude......?"

We field their phone calls all the time because they stole our name and cleverly inserted a dash.

We use Rudd fixtures and a few e-conolight exit signs.

I use them all the time. If I can wait 4 days for the stuff, I will order from them. They always beat my supplier. I had doubts at first, but all the innards are the same as you find from the US. (typically made in mexico)
The ballast and lamp sockets are the same.

Umm ... they recently upped the ante on the free shipping to a minimum order amount of $250.00.

Still, it ain't too hard to get to that level, if you are ordering enough fixtures.

We are putting together an order right now for 3 different projects, plus a few extra wall paks to keep on hand for the occasional onesy-twosy jobs that crop up from time to time.
