here is who they are:
http://www.buildersrx.com/
what they do:
connect you up with a customer for
15% of the total contract, including materials.
if i remember correctly from the packet they sent me,
this is payable within 3 days of contract signing. in full.
my thoughts on it were summed up in my reply to
their emails wanting me to sign up:
********************************
interesting concept, convincing the homeowner/builder
that you can help them beat down the subcontractor
enough to pay for the money you get from the sub.
you *do* mention to the client that you skim from the
sub, right? sort of like being a GC, but without all that
nasty license and liability stuff. more like being a pimp.
i read with interest your packet whereby you get
a flat percentage off the top, immediately.
then i read with interest your marketing info where
it becomes "you and me up against the cost padding,
overcharging subcontractor."
just remember.... when you ride two horses at the same
time, and they take divergent paths, you may find yourself
in an unfortunate position.
********************************
anyone here have experience with stuff like this, and
what was it?
