I have four story apartment building. Each floor has meter stack with 20 meters, feeder breakers in electrical room. The meter stack is fed from service switchgear at the bottom floor electric room.
Each floor has 20 dewelling units with Panelboard P. Panelboard P is fed from one of the meter/feeder breaker. However the wiring method to feed the Panelboard P from the meter/feeder breaker used is SEU cable.
I read NEC 2014 section 338.10(B) allows SE cable to be used as branch circuits or feeders. However I am confused the plans call for phase, neutral and equipment grounding conductor SEU cable. I don’t see equipment grounding conductor with SEU cable. I thought they come in phase and neutral only.
Panelboard P is not service equipment. Can SEU cable be used in the above situation? Does NEC 2014 allow?
