apartments to hotel conversion

Just got a new project which involves converting apartments to a hotel. Adding EM generator load is the first thing to comes to mind. Any other electrical code issues that jump out at anyone?
 
We don't need em generators here, just em lighting. In the jurisidctions where I practice, dwelling unit wiring methods, ROMEX, aren't approved for commercial buildings.

You'll be changing occupancies, from R2 or R3 to R1. That may require you to comply with all current codes, and not "grandfather" anything in.
