Appendix C Tables. For Copper and Aluminum?

I always looked at the above table and was using when using copper cable.
Now that some are using Aluminum do to the prices, I noticed that the table does not specify if it is used for copper or aluminum cable.

Is there a reference somewhere saying what these tables can be used for (cu or al cable) or can the tables be used for both copper and aluminum cable.

Annex C deals with the mechanical issue of how much space can be used in a conduit, as such it does not matter if it is aluminum or copper.

You'll probably find that the AL conductors are "compact conductors"

Notice the strands are not "round" like with "normal" CU building wiring:
