Had installed a ADJA15034200RS 150 amp reverse service receptacle feeding a 100 amp manual transfer switch as a back up connection for a roll-in generator. I went with the 150 amp receptacle because it would take 1/0 conductors, which I thought at the time is what I would use. Ended up using #2 which is neither hear nor there. Also I understood at the time that the 150 amp receptacle would accept either the 100 amp plug or the 150 amp plug and informed the customer. Asking if they wanted us to provide a plug, they said they would worry about that later and they were pretty sure they had one.

Soooo, now they need one and their regular supplier is quoting them a 150 amp plug with a 3 week lead time, which they weren't happy about. I reached out to one of our suppliers and they came up with a ACP1034CDRS in stock at one of their stores and decided to send it to us before we decided to approve it (Arrrggghhh!!!). Told the customer we had one coming without approval, so he decided to cancel the order from his supplier. To make things a bit uglier, the invoice they sent is a ACP1034CD (no RS meaning not reverse service.) It was supposed to arrive today, but did not. Perhaps when it does arrive it will be a reverse service after all...

So here's where I could use some help:

Am I correct in thinking that since the receptacle is reverse service (meaning male) the plug also needs to be reverse service (meaning female)?

Will a ACP1034CDRS work with a ADJA15034200RS? I've reached out to Appleton by phone and by email - crickets.
