I am thinking of tapping off a 820VDC bus. Do NEC tap rules apply to 820VDC? or is there a voltage limit (I can't find one)?

Also, when it says "taps not over 10 feet", is it talking about one way distance? or the total lenth of conductor?

Thanks

There are no voltage constraints I am aware of. I would point out that normal building wire is not rated for above 600 V.

The definition of a tap includes the idea that it is a conductor so I would conclude it is the length of the conductor, not physical distance.
