I have a Rosemount flowmeter that carries both a nonincendive rating and an explosion proof rating. I am installing in class I div 2 area. The control drawing from the flowmeter manual calls for an "approved nonincendive supply". For they life of me I cannot find such a rating on my dcs or plc analog inputs. I would love to not have to seal and pack and pour, but with the control drawing being so clear what options do I have? Anyone have any ideas? Where would I even find a approved nonincendive supply...

Robert,

The meter is loop powered by a dcs analog input. A little more research into the analog input card revealed that the card has been approved by FM ans Non-Incendive. I think this answers my questions. It?s always better to sleep on it before asking the forum. Thanks.
