I did a search for US made computers this morning. One site with several $150 - $500. April Fools or scam? I haven’t searched before, usually going direct to De** or other.

100% made in US probably doesn't exist.
What you probably do find is some final assembly that is done in the US, particularly adding any customer specific options on an order.

The only thing I know for sure made in the US were MDSWs children. I do know she never left the country at those times.

I just did the same google search. Nothing i found would i believe to be made in the us. Perhaps shipped from or final assembly of, but the brands i saw i know to be non us.
As far as buying computers go, to date I've used microcenter for a few reasons. They tend to have pretty decent sales on higher end stuff. You'll accumulate points and discounts for future purchases and their after sale support is pretty good in my experience. On the contrary, no matter what you buy, in 30-60 days it'll be outdated anyway.
