I've got a problem where newly-installed motion switches are tripping arc-fault breakers. Are these type switches not made for arc-fault protected circuits? The circuits meggered out just fine, and they hold no problem on a standard breaker. These are Leviton switches BTW. Thanks.

Let me get this straight. You tied a motion sensor into a maintenance switch or the instantaneous portion of the device to bring the arc flash level down?

If that is the case - what is also tied into the motion sensor. Could a AHU or condensing unit which would cause a high level of inrush?

So obvously the circuits are ok, but something is telling that breaker to open. Do you have any logs or any information at all?
