arc fault breaker

I would like to see a diagram of an arc fault breaker. How it works inside the breaker itself. If an arc fault breaker got moisture on it could that destroy the breaker. We are checking circuits in a new wire residential and four of the new arc fault breakers are bad. We noticed a very small amount of moisture in the panel. The panel directly across from it five feet away had no problems, all the arc fault breakers checked out. thank you

I woulsdhazard a guess that moisure enough "in" it would cause failure. No different than most electronics.

Take a small sledge to a failed breaker and perform an autopsy.
