Arc fault breaker

Does the bathroom gfci circuit need to be on a afci breaker?

The code says kitchens do need afci breaker I take it that applies to the small appliance branch circuit as well?

AFCI requirements are in 210.12, suggest you review this. Requirement is to protect "outlet". When AFCIs were required 20 years ago, there was confusion between outlet and receptacle.
