I'm wondering if anybody here has complied a list - atleast in their heads - of all the different ways to test for the cause of a 'phantom' arc fault tripping.
I've been doing a bit of research-
-Meggering the circuit with no loads attached to it will tell you if your wiring is ok, but won't really tell you about correct solid connections at devices.
-Square D recommends trying a gfci breaker in place of the arc fault to determine if it's a ground fault issue as gfcis trip at 5ma instead of I believe the 50ma of an arcfault.
any other thoughts?

sorry... this maybe should have been in another forum thread.
