Arc Fault vs GFCI

Good Afternoon,
IF I have a exhaust fan with in 3 feet of the tub that is on an arc fault circuit do I also have to GFCI protect it?

The code does not directly require GFCI protection for exhaust fans. Some manufacturer's instructions do for fans that are over the tub or shower area, but have not heard of that for fans that were outside of the tub/shower area.
