Arc faults

NEC Section210.12(B) states ...outlets installed in dwelling unit family rooms, dining rooms, living rooms, parlors, libraries, dens, bedrooms, sunrooms, recreation rooms, closets, hallways, or similar rooms or areas shall be protected by a listed arc-fault circuit interrupter ....
This seems to me to mean any room or area that is not a kitchen, bathroom or garage. Is this the intent of this section.

I would say that is the case.
Appears for the most part, if it's not GFCI it's AFCI
