The electrical guy at home depot said you have to have an arc fault breaker per bedroom. He was explaining this to some people with paint on thier shirt. I said, I wouldn't trust them to wire my house, and then proceded to tell him, I have wired as many as 3 bedrooms on an arc fault, and he said, the inspector just didn't know his code. He got really animated about it going on to tell me about how bedrooms should be wired in 12-2 and those stab in 14-2 are garbage and he would fail that if he was an inspector. I said that those stab in plugs are UL listed, and he told me, you can pay enough money to get anything UL listed and sited a workmanship code. I just thought he was trying to sell Arc faults, until I aproached him like this privately. He was yelling and screaming about it, even when I told him to calm down. The guy is really passionate about electrical, but I don't think he is right about an Arc fault needing to be on only one bedroom, not 2, or 3! OMG hack work lol. Am I mistaken and just never been caught wiring 3 bedrooms to an arc fault?
