I have been asked to calculate the incident energy at a meter base. The meter utilizes 1A Shawmut ATMR1 fuses. The meter is connected to a CT rack at the weatherhead of a 480V service. The service entrance conductors are #3/0 for a 200A panelboard.
What would the bolted fault current be? The same as at the weatherhead (6,500A)? The client is insistent on having an Arc Flash label at the meter to list the arc flash energy, but I am thinking it's zero and want to make sure I'm not missing something. Wouldn't want anyone to get hurt.
