arc flash breaker test

I recently took an arc flash class they specified that after an arc flash the breaker should be tested what does this test include? What equipment do I need to test breakers?

The Facility that I work in uses a testing firm to test the breakers when there is a problem with them. Its usually a bench tester for circuit breakers you can find them at grainger and probably at graybar. Check the manufacturers guidlines on testing the circuit breaker before testing it. To do a quick test you should have a hand tester for this circuit breaker to test the trip unit functionality and the other functions as well.

What type of breakers you talking about? Small MCCB's, MV Vacuum breakers? 480V ACB's? Electronic trip or series trip units? All different equipment and test procedures.
