ARC FLASH DISTANCE ?

When the arc flash distance is being determined for say a ds breaker is it started at the door or where cables are bolted to buss behind circuit breaker ? Thanks for any help.

Technically the distance is from the arc it self. Practically it is easier to use the outside of the door, and have the 'interior space' as a safety margin.
