Can someone answer some question on arc flash labels on 480 v switchgear that is feed on both sides with a main breaker in service one at a time. label on main 1 says equipt: swgr-bus1 and the ocpd: is the utility - fuse. the other main says ocpd is gen. cb 1 Why the difference between both breakers ? Both mains have their own 3 transformers fed from same pole.
The feeder breakers are also labeled for the ocpd - gen. cb1

There are other equipment in plant fed from the feeders with labels that are labeled, equip : Mcc2 and the ocpd: swgr- fuse10. I am not sure how they got that.

Thanks for any help.

I would recommend taking a look at the one-line diagram; venture to guess someone has made a labeling error, or not being consistent with naming convention.

Check your one line and you may find that the second breaker is fed from a generator. The description you provided, gen. cb 1, seems like a generator plus why have 2 breakers from the same source on the same MCC?

There should have been a one line provided with the arc flash study that may provide your answer.
