We need to get about 20 electricians and thier management trained in arc flash safety procedures. We will probably have a company send a trainer to our location.

Can anyone recommend a training company that they have had good luck with for NFPA 70E compliance training?

Several of my customers have contracted with Square D for an complete electrical safety training program (per NFPA 70E) not just arc flash.

I have Cooper Bussman Safety Basics, Not sure how much it cost me, but I can tell you in the long run its much cheaper training than bringing in an outside guy. Plus when you have new hires you just give them the training during orientation along with all other training and your set.

No, not a free download. I have the whole training program, electrical safety training, arc flash, DVD, test, certification cards, etc...

You probably want to develop/update your own safety program, then find a training organization to tailor their canned program to your particulars.

Yep I agree, thats what I did when I was training, not everyone would do this. I would meet before the class and customize my training programs to include local procedures, special concerns, etc..

You have to get it right the first time, you also want to make sure you have the PPE available before you train your people that they have to wear it or work will stop.

Make sure you have EEWP's in place, a safety rep should attend the class, you should have someone responsible assigned for determining what employees are to be considered "Qualified", etc...

I have trained hundreds of very large companies (Your included Laszlo) and have seen the regret on the faces of management when they decided not to address these issues before the training occurs.
