Our hose is 5 years old. We have just started having the problem with the SQ D QO panel breakers. It is a 30 circuit 150 Amp 240 volt single phase panel. There are 16 Arc Flash breakers installed. A couple of weeks ago when we came home all 16 Arc Flash breakers were tripped. Our neighbors told us that the power had been out. The standard single pole breakers were ok. Last night around midnight during a storm the power went out for a couple of hours. When it came back on 2 of the Arc Flash breakers were tripped.

Pretty standard activity for AFCIs.

They trip from lightning strikes, power outages, appliances, and often for no discernible reason.

It’s a scam that they were even added to the Code.

Thanks for the reply. I agree with your thoughts on them being added to the code. I am a retired (2018) journeyman. I will change all but the bedrooms. They even had my refrigerator on one.
