Hi, my state does not require ARCI, but my neighboring state (KY) does, so I am fairly new to the ARCI. How do you, in a subpanel, with the neutral bar only on one side, reach that side with the short neutral pigtails from the opposite side ? Thank you.

For someone who does practically no residential, exactly what is ARCI?
Probably a typing error and was supposed to be AFCI. R and F are same finger if you formally learned typing or keyboarding.

You could well need to install a second neutral bar instead.
or not separate one side of the netural assembly to use as EGC and instead install a separate EGC bar.

Most new panels today have neural bus on both sides of the panel AFAIK.

AFCI - Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter

I know of no NEC rule against simply adding a pigtail of neutral conductor with a wirenut to the existing AFCI pigtail neutral to get the length needed to reach the panel neutral terminal bar.

As one adds pigtails to the pigtails, the use of cross section area by all the conductors of the panel needs to not exceed the fill requirements. That's really the only restriction.

Move breakers around and put the AFCI on the side with the neutral bar, or pigtail the pigtail.
