Are AEDs required on projects now?

I had a person ask me this morning if AEDs or better known as Automated External Defibrillators are required on project when working with live voltage. Does anyone know the OSHA requlation or any type of information on this? Thanks for any help.

There are no requirements for AED's. It would be a personal preferance.

Heck just hook them up to the panel if they need a jump start.

I have placed over 50 of these in County facilities but they are not mandated.

They installed them here in our City facilities, but didn't require everyone to be trained how to use them. Would be sad to have someone die and have an AED within arms reach.

They are designed not to require any training. In some cases they even talk you though the operation.
