Are Fusible Panelboards just generally obsolete?

I looked into getting a fusible panelboard to replace an old one in a job I'm working on. The information I got from this manufacturer is that fusible panelboards are obsolete and the last new model the made was in the 1990s.

Are main circuit breakers more popular and better in general? Or am I just looking at the wrong manufacturer to get fusible panelboards?

If you don't need an obnoxious short circuit rating, replace it with a circuit breaker panel.

not really, just wanted to make sure that whatever I design with the parts would be easy to find 20 years down the road

Siemens P5 panelboards are available with fusible mains, 200-1200A. Both P4 and P5's are available with fusible branches, 30-200 on the P4 and 30-1200 on the P5.
