Are motion sensors prohibited in warehouse/loading dock areas?

Hi all - I generally never see MS being utilized near the loading dock/bay areas of large warehouses. My customer wants to install sensors in these areas and I am hesitant to do so but wanted to check and see if there were any special code requirements? Any help is appreciated!

Don't think a NEC issue in and of itself but might have OSHA or building codes (local) implications. I can see for reasons of energy conservation utilizing some form of occupancy sensor, but for safety reasons it shouldn't turn off all lighting in space. In addition if this is an exterior dock space utilization of photo control I can see as a potential, again not for all the lights, particularly those used to flood trailer interiors (likely totally seperate system). So a coordination of OS and standard switching of fixtures that would allow for safety and energy conservation would need to be calculated. The dock area would be of particular concern for adequate minimum lighting for safety.
Been in one that as you walk thru the large warehouse lighting level would increase as you go thru various zones and reduce as you exit, sensor zone overlapping was critical to effective work area lighting.
Side note having total motion sensing can help make a nice napping space for the employees.

Also consideration OSHA 1926.56(A) indicates for such space a minimum lighting level of 10 ft candles of lighting.

At all times or only when occupied?
Occupied.
I would think that minimum lighting level can be no less than requirements for egress lighting of 1 ft candle (OSHA, IBC, NFPA 101) if using Occupancy Sensors. So calculating from the 2 level requirements, it would seem 9 of ten lights could be controlled via OS, layout conditional.
OSHA would likely come in with light meter if complaint or incendence happen so would be prepared by having metered it during installation if going to employ OS.

Look out for egress. Most warehouses have an egress door close by so some lighting may be required for egress.
