From craig's:

******** ELECTRICAL ESTIMATOR NEEDED ********* -

Compensation: $20.00 - $30.00 per/hr
:-?
As a hack I can make more than that per/hour
As a qualified JW, I can make more
As a bonafide EC in NJ, I demolish that number

Who do they expect to inquire about this job?
Some clown who has managed to bury his own company?

I should see what this outfit would offer me for my mad skills :D ...just for fun.

EDIT:
A few posts down from this job offer is another....offering licensed EC's $50/hr.

I imagine that $25 - $30 / hr would be right estimating w/ only 3 years experience (according to the add) Now if you are working for yourself, it would be different

and it would be a salary positition based off of that hourly rate, i imagine

Is the potential employer in NJ? Here the $30 an hour doesn't sound that far out of line to start.

JW's here are at about that rate for resi....with none of the pressure.

That would be between $40k and $60k /year.....and as a salaried employee if they say : "You gotta have this done for Monday at 8AM" ... and it's already 5PM on Friday ...it's not enough for a salaried employee here.

I have a half hour or so to kill tom'row during business hours [Building dept. stuff ]....I'll give them a call ...let's see if they can bump that number up some

We'll see if they want someone with experience that is going to make their company some money....or of if they just want a body to bury the company. :D

Maybe whoever takes the job can make a bit more money replacing AC cords. :D

Spectacular....I can make $50 per unit, regardles of the number, and never mind the gas i would use going between the units, which may be between god knows how many miles apart......hmmmmm....
