What is the differance between armored cable vs. Mc vs. Mc hospital grade?

Typical AC does not have an insulated EGC but the sheath is recognized as an EGC per 250.118 because of the aluminum runner. MC has an insulated EGC but the sheath is not recognized as an EGC in 250.118.

HG MC and AC have both, aluminum runners (making the sheath an EGC) and an insulated EGC.
