Art. 225 Part II

I have a retail center, under single management, with parking lot lighting, wall sconces, signs, etc. When the lot was roughed in, the conduit for the lot lighting was run into one of the stores. I now have a house panel on the exterior of the store and want to extend that conduit and conductors to the house panel. Also, the wall sconces on that store are run to the store's panel. I want to also extend those to the house panel by splicing them in a box in the store.

Am I compliant with 225.30(D) ? The conductors will technically run through the store from an outside source but won't terminate in the store or serve anything in the store.

From your post, I am assuming that you only have one building. If that's the case, then 225.30(D) doesn't apply.

No, I have two buildings that are attached, but separated by adjoining concrete walls. It's a typical anchor store and "B" shops (potentially 12 tenants). The house panel is on the back of the shops. Originally the owner wanted the anchor store to have control of their parking lot lights and wallpacks, but now they want the entire center to be fed from the house panel. This will require a splice in the branch circuits to the lot lights and wallpacks within the anchor store.

Sorry to be confusing, but I don't know any other way to explain it without drawing a picture.

I don't believe that a junction within one store will be an issue, but I would suggest calling your local electrical inspector before commiting yourself.
