article 525 requires lamps be protected from accidental breakage. This precludes the standard clip on lights most carnival people use in their tents/booths as these typically dont have a wire guard to protect the lamp. Would use of the silicone coated bulbs (tuff kote) which remain intact if broken satisfy this requirement?

Our local inspector allows those in some situations. Mainly the clip on lights you mentioned where the lamp is recessed.
