Greetings all!

I am seeking input on some planned new construction......I am
reviewing plans for a new bldg.......The plans show 4 elec.
panelboards being installed in one small room.....They are(
1x) - 400A MDP and (3x) 125A panelboards for lighting, power,
data, etc.....Two of the 125A panelboards are directly across
from each other, with the 400A MDP immediately adjacent tot
hem.

I am assuming that the MDP will not have a complete cover on
it, but rather, an inset cover with the circuit breakers accessible.

My question(s) have to do with the 3 ft. Working Space requirement.
If I open the panelboard doors on the 2 that are directly across from
each other, I will not have the 3 ft. minimum to any of these 3 panels
[ think U-shaped install ].

Is this an actual violation or violations ?......They have all 4
panelboards in a room that measures 5 ft. x 6' - 10".

Thanks for any input !

If you take the measurements with the panel doors closed do you have the required clearance? If so that's all that you need.

What voltages are you dealing with?

Do you have more than one systems in the building with different voltages?

Thanks for the input !

Regarding the 2 panels directly across from each other,
...with the doors closed on both of them, there is approx.4
.5 ft. between them.......The MDP is approx. 1.5 to the
left & right of both of these panels.

These panels are all less than 600v........No other elec.
systems are involved with these 4 panels.
